WHAT IS ECG TEST?
An ECG Test (Electrocardiogram) is a which measures the records the electrical activity of your heart at rest. It is a general test used to detect heart problems and activity on a moving strip of paper or a line on a screen. Doctor can read the peaks and plunge on paper or screen to see if there is any abnormal or rare activity. An ECG is a safe and painless test which normally only takes a some time. Leads from an ECG machine are attached to the skin on your hand, legs and chest using sticky patch. These leads study signal from your heart and send this information to the ECG. The ECG machine then prints the on a screen or reading on a paper strip. The test is not useful in routine checkups for people who do not have risk factors for heart disease such as high blood pressure or symptoms of heart disease, like chest pain.
